After-Hours Emergencies: If you are experiencing an immigration or personal emergency when the office is closed, please phone UR Public Safety at +1 (585) 275-3333 and the ISO staff member on-call will be notified. This does NOT include requests for updated immigration documents or travel signatures, since we are unable to service such requests outside of normal office hours.

Our first-floor suite is located in the same building as Breathe Yoga and UR Dermatology, diagonally across the parking lot behind the University of Rochester Bookstore. There is one entrance to the building from the parking lot, and one entrance along Celebration Drive. From either entrance, remain on the first floor and look for the suite door for Global Engagement & International Services Office.College Town is a 15-20 minute walk from the River Campus. Additionally, the Blue Line university shuttles have stops located conveniently near our office. If you are driving for your visit, two hour parking is available in the parking lot directly behind the UR Barnes & Noble bookstore.

ISO is open year-round, other than weekends and recognized university holidays. Team members are generally available between 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, subject to our current service schedules. Please find details below or see also our handout on the ISO Service Schedule for Fall 2021.
Office Hours:
ISO maintains regular office hours on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm (closed 12-1). We are not accepting phone calls or appointments on Wednesdays in order to focus on immigration casework, document issuance, and related administrative activities.
ISO Service Desk:
ISO offer in-person office visits at our suite in College Town (1.100) by appointment ONLY. Various appointment blocks will be available most weekdays, generally between 11:00am and 3:00pm (excluding Wednesdays), based on recent trends this semester. Please contact ISO at questions@iso.rochester.edu to request an appointment. Our team is still available virtually during standard Office Hours to provide full services and coordination.

ISO advising services are offered virtually to ensure continuity of service and broad accessibility during the current health crisis. Please address any concerns when scheduling.
Appointments
Please consider an appointment to speak in detail with an advisor about questions or concerns on a host of immigration and other topics. Scheduling is available at least one business day in advance during our standard office hours; same-day appointments cannot typically be accommodated. Advisor appointments are scheduled for 30 minutes.

During dedicated Drop-In Hours, an ISO Student Advisor is available to answer quick questions and to review documentation for travel, benefit applications, and more. An average walk-in lasts about 5–10 minutes. For more complicated questions, we will schedule a follow-up appointment.
Drop-ins are held via Zoom only: https://rochester.zoom.us/my/iso.virtual.dropins. Students will be admitted individually, but may remain in the waiting room until the advisor is available. Every effort is made to take students in the order they arrive, subject to Zoom capabilities.
